On Thursday 12 December 2013 BBR Optometry took home two prestigious awards at the Rodenstock Club Awards 2013 held at the Four Seasons Hotel, Park Lane, London.
Rodenstock is Germany’s leading manufacturer of ophthalmic lenses and spectacle frames. Its products are available in over 80 countries worldwide, with an established reputation as an innovative, technology driven company.
The Rodenstock Club Awards reward practices for their loyalty to the company and aim to recognise significant contributions made by individuals and practices in supporting the ophthalmic industry – award categories include Impression lenses ®, luxury brand eyewear (Porsche Design, Balasserini) and Rodenstock eyewear.
This year BBR was named ‘Solitaire Protection Plus practice of the year’ for the second year running, for its commitment to offering patients lenses that promises users ‘long-lasting, brilliant vision’.
Charlotte Gibson, one of BBR’s GOC registered Dispensing Opticians says, “We firmly believe that coated lenses offer the best possible vision with the most invisible lenses and that is why we offer this on all of our Rodenstock lenses. I confidently say to our customers this coating will give you the best possible vision, free from hazardous and unsightly reflections, as we as making it easier for you to keep your lenses clean”
The independent practice were also placed second in this year’s Centre of Excellence category.
BBR practice owner Nick Rumney comments, “The annual Rodenstock awards provide an excellent opportunity to network with peers and to recognise commitment to the ophthalmic industry. To be placed second in the Centre of Excellence category is a fantastic achievement for the BBR practice, especially as we came third last year, and demonstrates the team’s consistent commitment to BBR customers and to influence the field of optometry. Ask yourself, do you have Rodenstock lenses?”
The 2013 Rodenstock Club Awards are a great finish to another successful year at BBR Optometry, following great achievements for both the practice and individual team members – four of whom will be rewarded with a trip to the home of the Sound of Music (Salzburg).
