BBR Optometry’s Chairman, Nick Rumney, will be delivering a keynote lecture at the 10th annual Asia Cornea and Contact Lens Conference [ACCLC] this Friday, 29th April 2016.
Taking place in Hong Kong’s Crowne Plaza, the ACCLC is hosted by a number of the region’s key professional bodies, and aims to provide optometrists worldwide with insight into research and advances in cornea and contact lens practice.
In attending the event, Nick will be joining an elite group of guest speakers, and through his lecture entitled ‘Infra-red, Interferometry and OCT’ will focus on recent developments in ophthalmic technologies and the benefits it has provided for all patients, not just those reliant on contact lenses.
He confirms: “The ACCLC is a prestigious event in the Optometry calendar and I feel both honoured and excited to have been asked to deliver one of the keynote lectures. Fascinating that my invitation came from Professor Woo who marked my MSc thesis exactly thirty years ago!
“Aside from providing the perfect platform to discuss current advances in the Contact Lens field, the ACCLC also provides the opportunity for me to network with Optometrists from across the globe – where we learn from and engage with one another for the benefit of patients worldwide.”
As Hereford’s last remaining independent optometry practice, BBR Optometry prides itself on its continuous investment in the very latest ophthalmic technologies for advanced patient care.
The Rodenstock DNEye Scanner is the very latest piece of equipment to enter the St.Owen’s Street based practice, which provides precision eye measurement for accurate and bespoke prescriptions.
