According to leading lenses and spectacle frames manufacturer, Rodenstock, 89% of all spectacle wearers between the ages of 45 and 59 work with a computer.
A study conducted in 2011 reported that dedicated computer spectacles were recommended to one in five wearers by opticians - but only one in ten had taken that advice on board.
The film below explains how occupational, or computer lenses, ensure a more comfortable experience for spectacle wearers.
"It is estimated that up to 70% of all 40 to 60 year olds have eye related symptoms attributed to VDUs. This can easily be avoided by wearing dedicated occupational lenses for computer use."
