BBR’s Nick Rumney and his son David will be taking part in supporting a great venture which starts this Friday.
Nick and David will be alongside a group of soldiers from the Army Training Unit Wales and the Army Veterans who will complete a challenging 900 mile cycle relay from John O’Groats to Land’s End.
The event is aimed at raising money for two very special charities, Acorns Children’s Hospice (care and support for children and young people with life limiting and life threatening conditions) and the Army Benevolent Fund (The Soldier's Charity).
BBR owner, Optometrist Nick Rumney, says “We are very proud and honoured to be part of this special event that will contribute towards helping two very worthy charities. The long distance bike ride will be challenging but well worth it for the charities”.
The BBR team will be working carefully planned shifts which will support the cycle teams made up of soldiers, veterans, civilians and a local vet.
The plan is to leave Hereford Friday morning aiming to finish on a high Tuesday night in Land’s End.
