BBR Optometry is delighted to announce that dispensing optician Magda Peppa is currently training for a contact lens speciality.
This training, once completed, means Magda will be able to fit and supply a patient with contact lenses as well as provide after care.
Nick Rumney, chairman at BBR Optometry, says: “As Hereford’s only remaining independent practice, we are determined to ensure patients receive the best possible care and, to this end, we encourage all of our staff to further develop their knowledge.
“I am delighted Magda has chosen to train for a contact lens speciality as many people are interested in wearing them as an alternative to spectacles and new developments mean they are now suitable for more patients than ever before.
“Magda is being supervised by Nick Black, who was a finalist in the AOP Contact Lens Practitioner of the Year 2017, and we are sure that she has the ability and commitment to follow in his footsteps.
“As the General Optical Council advised earlier this year, contact lenses are a healthcare product and require diligent care. I want patients to receive and follow appropriate advice and I am delighted that Magda will soon be able to offer this as well,” he added.
