Help mark World Sight Day

Today (Wednesday, 11 October 2018) is World Sight Day and to mark the occasion we are raising money for Optometry Giving Sight.

You can come along to our practice in St Owen Street, Hereford to help us raise money for this amazing charity that supports 39 countries in providing eye examinations and spectacles.

You’ll be able to buy a limited-edition Maui Jim cleaning cloth to ensure your lenses are always spotless and enter a raffle for a box of Hotel Chocolat chocolates.

We’ll also be selling cupcakes.

By joining in and helping us to raise money for Optometry Giving Sight you’ll be making a big difference to people in other countries unable to access good eyecare or spectacles.

World Sight Day is an international event raising awareness and bringing the global optometric community together to “create a world where everyone can see no matter who they are or where they live.”

Organisers say there are 1.2 billion people around the world who are blind or vision impaired because they don’t have access to an eye exam and a pair of glasses, including millions of children.

So come in, say hi to the BBR Optometry team and help us raise awareness and money for a great cause.
