BBR Optometry’s dispensing optician and associate director Ruth Kettel has her sights set on supporting yet another charity this year by signing up to abseil down Leominster’s historic Priory Church.

Ruth, who has already taken part in sponsored cycle challenges in the UK and abroad, is always grateful for the many patients who support her fund-raising efforts.

The abseil down the 100ft tower will be on October 21 and funds raised will go towards the upkeep of the Grade I listed building.

Ruth says: “I am, as many people who know me are already aware, always up for a challenge and I am looking forward to this latest one. 

“In common with all Church of England Parish Churches, the Priory Church is responsible for its own finances and there is no public money available for the on-going maintenance costs so I am delighted to be able to give my support to this worthy cause,” she added.
